Description

Adapter kit enables users connection of Toyota JZ engine series with very durable and easy to buy BMW gearbox. It is an ideal solution for motorsport as well as for people who want to change (convert) automatic gearbox (transmission) to manual (for example (e.g) changing of 30-40LE / Getrag V160 automatic gearbox in Toyota Supra MK III / IV for BMW manual gearbox).

Advantages of PMC sets:

  • The kit warranties ideal alignment of engine and gearbox (0,01mm)

  • Lightweight aluminium custom flywheel includes replaceable iron cast friction surface

  • Custom clutch fork pivot pin / Spherical pusher (BMW OEM 21 51 1 223 328) is included in the kit, with lets users adjust BMW clutch fork (dedicated to owned gearbox type) to the custom flywheel

  • Original automatic transmission ring gear (flexplate) for Toyota JZ (Toyota OEM OEM 32101-30090 / 32101-22050)  is required to install PMC custom flywheel. The original Toyota JZ started is used with the kit in the same position.

Set includes: 

  • aluminium gearbox adapter plate

  • custom flywheel

  • necessary assembly screws

 

Recommended pressure plate (clutch kit) for the kit:

  • BMW e39 Sachs 3000951877/3000 951 877 (pressure plate test on the factory disc +/- 650Nm) + dedicate to the gearbox disc

  • Sachs Performance 883082.001243 / 88 308 200 1243 (pressure test depending on the disc used, PMC sintered disc +/- 800Nm)

  • BMW e46 M3 + dedicate to the gearbox disc

  

Additional information:

  • Clutch fork and the clutch disc should be chosen based on the type of owned gearbox (spline of disc dedicated to owned gearbox type)

  • The coolant pipe on the back of the engine must be loosened and lifted up.

  • Of the two original Toyota JZ flexplate spacers, only the ‘wider’ one (the one between the engine block and flexplate) is necessary to install the custom flywheel

  • The custom flywheel is installed with recommended Toyota JZ OEM flywheel bolt tightening torque
