ADJUSTABLE REAR LOWER CONTROL ARMS BMW E36/E46 - Machined

 

CNC71 Motorsport adjustable control arms allow for precise tuning of the rear suspension to best suit the driver's driving style. This is particularly useful when preparing the car for motorsport disciplines such as drifting or time attack. A set of adjustable lower control arms is also ideal when lowering the car, ensuring proper fitment.

 

The control arm design, based on a ball joint, provides greater rigidity in the rear suspension system, making the vehicle more predictable and enhancing handling characteristics. Furthermore, the use of a uniball is a significantly more durable solution than the original rubber bushing, which is especially important under increased suspension loads typical in motorsport applications.

 

With a wide adjustment range in both the "+" and "−" directions, CNC71 Motorsport control arms for BMW E36/E46 allow the vehicle to achieve maximum traction on the drive axle. The total adjustment range is approximately 40 mm (544 mm – 585 mm). Compared to the original control arm (553 mm – 560 mm), this provides the possibility of shortening by 10 mm or lengthening by 30 mm.

 

The control arm set includes:

  • Adjustable rear upper control arm LEFT – 1 piece
  • Adjustable rear upper control arm RIGHT – 1 piece
  • Uniball M16 – 2 pcs
  • Uniball spacer set – 4 pcs
  • Roman bolt M16x1.5 – 2 pcs 
  • Lock nuts for uniball and turnbuckle – 6 pcs 

  

The control arms are constructed from thick-walled structural steel tubing and TIG-welded, ensuring exceptionally high structural strength. The mounting ears are CNC-machined. All individual components are manufactured on CNC machines, ensuring high quality and repeatability.

 

The control arms are powder-coated in black, and the machined ears feature an anodised coating.
