The wishbones are crafted from a precisely selected weave of carbon fibre, guaranteeing unparalleled mechanical properties. A key parameter is their compressive and tensile strength, and in this regard, carbon is significantly stronger than steel. This extreme resistance to dynamic loads ensures safety and reliability even in the most demanding track and road conditions.
Ultralight Construction The application of composite technology has allowed for a spectacular reduction in mass. The entire adjustable wishbone kit weighs as much as a single OEM wishbone! This extreme reduction in unsprung mass directly translates into improved traction, shorter braking distances, and increased vehicle agility.
To optimize mass, the wishbones feature aluminium uniball joints. These joints are characterized by minimal play, ensuring precise suspension reactions and direct steering feel. Additionally, the wishbone design incorporates aluminium bushings – this solution not only reduces mass but also protects critical components from premature wear, ensuring long-term and trouble-free operation.
The connection between the carbon tube and the aluminium bushing was achieved using a specialized adhesive with increased resistance to shear and peel forces. The bonding process takes place under controlled conditions, guaranteeing structural integrity and maximum joint strength.
