ADAMAT PERFORMANCE offers a twin-plate clutch kit for six-cylinder BMW engines: M50, S50, M52, S52, M54, and S54 and M57 M57N M57N2.

The clutch has been designed specifically for the extreme mechanical and thermal loads encountered in drifting.

ADAMAT PERFORMANCE clutches feature a simple damping system for the intermediate plates used in multi-disc clutches. You may have experienced multi-disc clutches producing concerning noises such as knocks or rattles. ADAMAT PERFORMANCE understands how frustrating this can be, leaving you uncertain whether it’s normal or a sign of wear. With their solution, you will forget that your drivetrain is equipped with a multi-disc clutch. In addition to improving usability, the damping system eliminates shock phenomena that occur between the intermediate plate surfaces in contact with the flywheel.

 

Another advantage is the spring-based centring system for the intermediate plate during disengagement. Correctly calculated springs allow for fast gear changes similar to a single-disc clutch, thanks to the automatic retraction of the intermediate plate from the clutch discs.

 

The complete STAGE 1 kit includes:

  • 4.9kg flywheel made from aerospace-grade AlZnMg+Ti alloy, exceeding the strength of typical flywheel materials. The flywheel is 100% CNC-machined and comes with an integrated starter ring gear and crankshaft position sensor trigger. A replaceable friction insert made of spheroidal graphite iron (GJS600) is fitted, allowing for easy refurbishment.
  • Two 240mm clutch discs with LUK 8090S friction linings containing Kevlar. In higher-performance variants, we use 100% Kevlar linings, an excellent alternative to problematic sintered discs.
  • SACHS pressure plate
  • Intermediate plate made from specially heat-treated steel
  • Clutch release bearing
  • Flywheel bolts, as well as bolts for the gearbox and adapter
